The Sudanese Professional Association (SPA), and the opposition groups including the National Consensus Alliance, Sudan Call and the Unionist Gathering Tuesday said that the government and its security agencies are responsible for the killing and wounding of demonstrators.
“This is what will move us to other stages in the path of our glorious revolution,” the SPA said on his Facebook page, urging citizens to continue peaceful night demonstrations until the fall of the regime.
Three people were killed and several others were injured in the largest opposition protest that took in the Khartoum’s twin city of Omdurman, on Wednesday the Sudanese police said.
The security forces used tear gas and bullets to disperse the ever large demonstration calling for the fall of the regime of President Omer al-Bashir.
Following the protests, the National Police Spokesperson Maj-Gen Hashim Ali Abdel Rahim told the official SUNA they registered three cases of death and some injuries. Adding they are investigating it, without further details.
Activists released videos showing injured demonstrators, some of them in the head and chest.
