Makila James, Deputy Assistant Secretary, Bureau of African Affair, denied inviting any Sudanese delegation by the U.S to discuss lifting Sudan from the list of “State Sponsors of Terrorism” in the main time.
“So far the situation has not been clear, we’ve urged the transitional military council to transfer power to civilian government as soon as possible.” Makila said to (Ajareeda) newspaper on Wednesday.
She ruled out the participation of the National Congress in the political process, and explained: “The Sudanese exceeded the past, as well as all those who stained their hands with blood and corruption and human rights abuses.”
“I encouraged the military council to continue negotiations with the political opposition and the protest leaders, in order to form a transitional civil government” she said.
