The member of the Secretariat of Sudanese Professionals Association (SPA) Mohammed Naji al-Asam, said on Tuesday that the Transitional Military Council (TMC) is “not serious” in handing over power to the civilians.
“What we feel from all the actions of the junta until the moment is that it is not serious about handing over power to civilians. As time passes, the powers of the military council expand and this is a very serious danger to the Sudanese revolution,” ,” al-Asam told a news conference in Khartoum.
Earlier, Vice-President of the Military Council, Mohammad Daglo, nicknamed “Hemedti”, accused the forces of the Declaration of Freedom and Change of dishonesty during the talks with the Council, stressing that the Council would not be subjected to sit-ins.
The military council held talks in the presidential palace in Khartoum with representatives of the forces of freedom and change “to consult on the vision regarding the arrangements for the transitional period.”
