Publications are not prohibited in investigation cases: Former Attorney-General

The former attorney-general, Salahuddin Abdullah, said there was no explicit provision in the law giving the Prosecuting attorney the right to ban publication in cases under investigation.
According to (Alintibaha) newspaper on Thursday, Salah that according to the law, the Prosecuting attorneydoes not have the right to issue any order from the Press and Publications Council to prevent journalists from handling cases investigated by the Public prosecutor
The Head of public prosecutions, Yassir Bashir al-Bukhari, issued an order prohibiting publication in criminal cases initiated by the Anti-Corruption and Financial Investigation Office.
