The Sudanese Congress Party (SCoP) said on Sunday that the Transitional Military Council (TMC) is intransigent in negotiating, which impedes the transfer of power to civilians and the demands of the Sudanese revolution, stressing that the political strike is a new phase of the struggle to complete the realization of the objectives of the revolution.

The last round of negotiations between the Transitional Military Council and the forces of freedom and change last week ended without reaching an agreement on the formation of the transitional government, after diverging positions for the parties about the formation of the sovereign council.

The forces of the Declaration of Freedom and Change intensify the calls for the political strike that was set on Tuesday and Wednesday in preparation for a comprehensive strike and civil disobedience.

The Sudanese Congress Party said in a statement that the country entered a pivotal stage where the people did not respond to the oppression of tyrants.

Sudanese Congress Party explained that the forces of freedom and change engaged in negotiations with the military council with the aim of transferring power to civilians as soon as possible, adding, “But this path has continued to disrupt the formation of the transitional civil authority, which reflects the power of the revolution.”

He pointed out that the revolution entered its second month and the hopes of achieving the objectives of the revolution collide with the walls of the intransigence of the military council which stand in the way of achieving the demands of the Sudanese people.

Also they stressed that the strike declared by the forces of the Declaration of Freedom and Change on Tuesday and Wednesday is a new cycle of struggle to complete the objectives of the revolution.
