Ethiopia cancels decision to deport Jibril Ibrahim and its embassy in Khartoum apologizes

The leading figure in the National Umma Party Mohamed Hassan al-Mahdi said that Dr. Jibril Ibrahim, leader of the Justice and Equality Movement returned to participate in the talks in Addis Ababa and will not leave Ethiopia as it was reported.

The head of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki, played a major role to prevent the deportation of the Justice and Equality Movement delegation headed by Dr. Jibril Ibrahim, Ahmed Adam Bakhit, Babeker Hamdeen and Mohamed Tom.

According to a correspondent in Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian authorities raided the residence of the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) delegation in the hotel and ordered them to leave the country.

An Anatolian correspondent in Khartoum revealed that the Ethiopian embassy had made an official apology to the movement.
