Russia has declares its support for the agreement signed between the Forces of Freedom and Change, and the Transitional Military Council (TMC), which seeks to stabilize the situation in Sudan, reiterating its firm position not to interfere in the internal affairs of Sudan.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogandov discussed with the head of the TMC’s Social Committee, Lt.Gen. Salah Abdul Khaliq, the agreement signed by the council and the opposition.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the meeting addressed the latest developments in Sudan after the agreement signed, in the presence of the Sudanese ambassador in Moscow Nader Youssef Babeker.
The Russian side affirmed its support for the agreements reached which aimed at ensuring stability in Sudan as soon as possible, as well as stressing that the principle of non-interference in Sudanese internal affairs and resolving internal political differences is the basis for a comperhensive national dialogue.
