Sudanese Congress Party (SCP) rejected the report of the Commission of Inquiry on the breakup of the sit-in of the General Command, stressing the need for the transitional civilian government to carry out an independent and transparent investigation using regional supervision in order to reveal the facts in full and to bring those involved to a fair trial.
In statement on Saturday, SCP stressed that the issue of justice is one of the central issues of the December revolution and should be at the top of the list of functions of the transitional civil authority, which expresses the forces of revolution.
“The bright truth is that the decision to clear the sit-in has coincided with all the states of Sudan, which witnessed 13 sit-ins, so it was a political decision taken by those who have the authority” the statement added
The statement pointed out that the report denied the occurrence of rape in the vicinity of the sit-in, which is contrary to the reports of many organizations that documented these crimes and documented the rape of a large number of women and men.
