Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has been invited to attend the final signing of the constitutional document agreed between the forces of freedom and change and the transitional military council in Khartoum next week, a Sudanese official said.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has been invited in recognition of his country’s role in supporting ending the crisis, as well as his current chairmanship of the African Union, the official said on condition of anonymity.
The official said that it is expected that the final signing to be attended by the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Abiy Ahmed, whose country has contributed strongly to move the negotiations forward.
The final document is due to be signed on Saturday in Khartoum.
