Sudan and Brazil intend to activate their cooperation agreement in the promotion and development of meat export and fish farming facilities and the establishment of modern slaughterhouses.
The Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Animal Resources, Dr. Ibrahim Hassan, on Tuesday, discussed with a Brazilian economic delegation to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the field of trade and industry in the livestock sector.
Abraham said, when meeting the delegation, headed by the Consul of Sudan in Sao Paulo, Brazil Mohammed Hussein Zoghbi, and Advisor to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of Brazil, he said that the relations between Sudan and Brazil are developing in various fields.
He explained that Brazil has advanced experiences in the field of meat processing, and that Sudan is benefiting from them in promoting exports by processing meat, and benefit from slaughtered waste, through the added value of livestock products.
For his part, the Brazilian Industry and Trade Advisor stressed the strong relations between the two countries and stressed the need to develop relations, especially in the field of livestock, and said that the purpose of the visit is to explore investment opportunities in the meat industry.
