Exempting the director of Rawat Petroleum Company

Minister of Energy and Mining Adil Ali Ibrahim, dismissed director of Rawat Petroleum Operating Company (RPOC), Fahmi Abdallah Al-Awad, was relieved of his post.

Babikir Mohamed Tobai Adam was appointed as the director of (RPOC) in accordance with the decision signed by the Minister of Energy and Mining.

The decision comes in conjunction with the announcement of the Minister of Oil to dissolve all boards of directors of companies operating in the field of oil and gas, minerals and electricity.

Rawat Petroleum Company operates in the Rawat field in the southern state of White Nile.

The oil sector suffers from a sharp decline in oil production, which reached 70 thousand barrels per day, compared with 450 thousand barrels before the secession of the south.
