Industry and Trade Minister Madani Abbas Madani on Monday issued a decree prevent foreigners from engaging in business activity, with legal accountability for anyone who violates the decision.
A statement issued by the Minister of Industry said: “Based on the powers granted to me by the Prime Minister’s decree No. (70) regulating the executive organs, and based on previous government decisions on foreign trade, engaging in business activity in Sudan is prohibited for non-Sudanese.
The decision included all procedures of import and export, presence in markets and localities and the buying and selling operations, whether direct or indirect “by mediator”.
He instructed all concerned parties to put the decision into effect.
