You can then drag and drop different versions of each document onto the main view so that they appear as separate panes. You can switch between the panes by clicking on the different buttons. There are a few neat tricks you can utilize when creating the initial view of your document. One thing you might want to try is creating your document with a default template that Google Docs will use for all of their documents.
